About
Medical Mission International
Founded
in 2002... |
|
| Murray
Carpenter and Madeleine Allard are the Directors
of Medical Mission International, under the authority
of Atlantic Missions Inc. Since 1989, they have
been involved in different aspects of short-term
medical missions by sending and receiving teams
overseas. |
|
From 1996-2002 they were
missionaries in Costa Rica. They lived in San José
with their children Chantale and Jean François.
Madeleine worked in a small clinic serving Nicaraguan
refugees. In addition, she co-directed a mission
ministering to the Guaymies Indians in the Southern
part of Costa Rica.
In 2002, Murray and Madeleine founded Medical Mission
International (MMI) in order to bring short-term
medical and dental teams to other countries in Central
and South America. Their vision is to encourage
more involvement of the members of local churches
into programs of evangelization during and after
the medical outreach. Since inception, they have
hosted numerous projects in Costa Rica, Nicaragua,
El Salvador, Panama, Bolivia, and have also brought
teams to Mali, Africa. |

Our model involves holistic
patient care. We are motivated to bring not only
physical wellness to patients but spiritual healing
as well. In order to accomplish this, we partner
with the national churches and different mission
groups in the countries where we serve. These people
work alongside the medical teams and minister to
them spiritually.
We pray that you will
consider joining us in medical missions. The harvest
is so great, but the workers are so few.
