MMI 's involvement with this
project began during our medical outreach to Mali in
2005. We were overwhelmed by the number of children we
saw that were malnourished.
One mother came back to us
a few days after we sent her home with baby formula for
her child. She shared with us the news of her baby's
death . We saw the pain in her eyes but no tears...
Could it be that losing a child is so common in this
country, that there are no more tears to relieve the
pain? What can we do? Our hearts as mothers cried out
to God to find a solution for those children.
A few days after the death
of this infant, the mayor gave us a piece of property.
We in turn gave it to the Christian church in Mali for
the construction of a children's rescue center. This was
a huge answer to prayer for the Christian community who
have dreamed of owning their own property to help the
mothers and children like those who were coming to our
medical outreach.
"Dorcas Educational Center"
will be a home where children will receive medical care
and be supervised in a safe nurturing environment where
their physical, emotional and spiritual needs will be
met. "Dorcas Educational Center" will house 120 children
from the age of 0-15 years old that have no other hope
to survive.
The realization of this
project will never be accomplished without your
partnership because the Christian church in Mali is too
poor to raise up the money to build the center. 100% of
your financial offerings will be used toward this
project. Medical Mission International is committed to
overseeing the accountability of all the donated funds.
Thank you for your gifts
and the hope you are giving these children,
